Stopped in Dublin, GA on our way south at a monument to the site of Dr. King’s first public political speech, part of a statewide essay contest.... in 1944. He was FIFTEEN. According to those present with Dr King during his final moments on the Lorraine Motel balcony 51 years ago today, King’s final words before being tragically shot were to a musician named Ben Branch, with whom he was scheduled to appear at an event later that evening. As musicians, we’re humbled and honored to do our part to continue his legacy. Thanks and for marking this day with us - and christian for accepting the challenge to live out our callings to serve our communities.
