Now I’m here! ❤️💙

After a full day celebrating Juneteenth at Aurora University, I’m now checked in at Slick City Action Park in Orland Park for Adults Only Night.

It’s 18+ only tonight from 8 PM to 10 PM, so come slide, laugh, hang out, and enjoy a fun night made just for the adults. I’ll be DJing and bringing the music while everybody lets loose a little.

Juneteenth is about freedom, history, community, and celebration, and I’m grateful I get to spend the day doing what I love in different spaces with different people.

Busy day, but the energy is still going!

Second spot of the day, still here at Aurora University! ❤️💙

Started earlier with the Aurora Juneteenth Youth Summit, and now I’m out in the Main Quad for the 4th Annual Scheketa Hart-Burns Aurora Juneteenth Flag Raising.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed they were free. Today is about honoring history, celebrating freedom, uplifting community, and recognizing the strength and resilience that brought us here.

It’s an honor to be part of this celebration and to help provide the music for such an important day here in Aurora.

Happy Juneteenth! ❤️💙

First stop of a busy day: Aurora University for the 3rd Aurora Juneteenth Youth Summit. I’m about to DJ this amazing event, and in a little bit I’ll also be part of the flag raising ceremony here on campus.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally told they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Today is a day to honor freedom, history, resilience, and the continued importance of equality.

It’s always a great day to celebrate freedom, community, culture, and the next generation. It’s truly an honor to be able to DJ for the youth and be part of moments like this.

Later tonight, I’ll be at Slick City Action Park in Orland Park for Adult Night, so it’s definitely a full day, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Pride At The Plaza was an amazing night, and I’m grateful I got to be part of it.

Huge thank you to the City of Aurora’s LGBTQ+ Advisory Board for putting together such a beautiful celebration, and thank you to everybody who came out, danced, smiled, supported, and showed love.

The turnout was incredible, the energy was real, and the love in the plaza was something special. I had an absolute blast DJing for such amazing people.

It’s always an honor to be part of the different communities that make Aurora and the surrounding area so special. Music brings people together, and nights like this are a reminder of how powerful community can be.

The comments on some of these posts are crazy lately. 😳

That’s exactly why I don’t do partisan politics on my pages.

Not because I don’t care, but because I believe music should be one of the few places where people can come together instead of being pulled further apart.

My job as an entertainer isn’t to convert anyone to my personal beliefs. My job is to bring joy, create memories, and give people a break from the stress, division, arguments, and labels we deal with every day.

I believe in freedom. I believe people should be able to live their lives. I believe in treating people with respect, kindness, and dignity, even when we don’t all see the world the same way.

At the end of the day, we all got to live together. We don’t have to be the same. We don’t have to agree on everything. But we can still respect each other, celebrate together, and share good moments.

DJ Suavesmooth is all inclusive. My services are for everyone.

I don’t judge clients based on politics, background, culture, religion, race, identity, or who they love. I DJ for weddings, schools, city events, community events, private parties, Pride events, cultural celebrations, corporate events, and everything in between.

When the labels are removed, I DJ for people.

I’m the people’s DJ.
I’m the community’s DJ.

No matter who you are, if you attend my events, support me, dance with me, sing with me, celebrate with me, or book me, you’re part of my community, and I’m grateful for you.

I love diversity. I love different cultures, different backgrounds, different stories, and different people coming together through music.

That’s what music does best. It reminds us we have more in common than we think.

So bring your good energy. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your dancing shoes. Let’s leave the division at the door and make memories together.

A very special thank you and shout out to Lisa from District 131! 🙌

This past week, I had the honor of DJing her retirement celebration. I couldn’t post too much the day of because I didn’t want to ruin the surprise that I was coming to DJ, but I’m truly grateful I got to be part of such a special moment.

Lisa has dedicated so many years to the school district and has been one of my biggest supporters over the years. She’s always been involved in the community, always showing up, helping out, and making a difference.

District 131 is definitely losing someone special, but I know Lisa is going to continue doing amazing things in whatever comes next.

Thank you, Lisa, for everything you’ve done for the schools, the students, and the community. Wishing you nothing but success and happiness in your next chapter! 🎉
