Heartbreak is rarely a clean break it is a jagged ruin, often followed by a desperate, gasping prayer for forgiveness. Yet, in a cruelty of its own, the heart refuses to stop beating. We survive against our will, tethered to a void we cannot fill, a loose string constantly pulling at the emptiness where something whole used to be.
