At the heart of the kitchen is Partner and Chef Chris Watson.

Chris has spent his career working in professional kitchens around the world, including acclaimed restaurants in Washington, DC. After years in the city, he was ready for a different pace - one rooted in West Virginia.

His family is from West Virginia, and he’s actually owned a home in Romney for nearly a decade. After years of working in kitchens around the world, he’s finally ready to return to those roots and make this community home.

Chris’s approach to food is grounded but refined - high-quality ingredients, strong technique, and dishes that feel familiar but still memorable. Whenever possible, he sources ingredients locally and builds the menu around what’s fresh and available.

Over the past few weeks he’s been working closely with our team - building systems, training staff, and helping establish the kind of kitchen culture that makes a restaurant consistent and dependable.

We’re grateful to have his experience, leadership, and passion for the craft here in Romney.
