Slow Saturdays call for homemade boberry biscuits.

Usually on Saturdays Eric takes one of the boys out to McDonald's just to have some one-on-one time and talk and see how they're doing. And I've decided I need to cook fun breakfasts with the other one.

So this morning we are at purging and cleaning and getting ready for whatever weather we're going to get the rest of the weekend.

posted these this morning and I knew I had blueberries. And I took my buttermilk Sunday biscuit recipe and altered it a little bit and came up with these delicious alternatives so much better than boberry biscuits.

So, teach your boys to cook. Enjoy some good food. And make your home a place where they want to be.

Find someone to do life with and hang on because you never know what life is going to bring. This month we celebrate our 15 years of dating and meeting and starting to talk we had our first date the week after Valentine's Day and 2011 and got married that same year

He's my favorite in many ways. Pushes me to keep going and the things that God has called me to do. Chases after the Lord in everything he does. Shepherds people so well including our boys and my heart and the people that he serves weekly in worship.

My prayer for him this year is Psalm 5:12 that the righteous would be shielded with favor from the Lord.

Do y'all have a prayer that you pray over your spouse or your kids per year? I'd love to hear it and pray alongside you.

Hey y'all happy Monday! One of my greatest joys in life is to teach the Bible to women and speak truth into their hearts and minds. Whether they are teenage girls or elderly senior adults who need encouragement.

I love to speak on prayer, the psalms, hospitality, Bible study habits, spiritual disciplines, and many other aspects of the Christian life.

I have some opportunities at the beginning of this year to speak life and Truth into women. And I would love to have the opportunity to talk with you more about what your church or ministry needs.

After getting a degree in spiritual formation, one of my rhythms is not to be on social media too much so I’m not always the best at promoting opportunities I’ve been given to speak or teach. The Lord is gently reminding me that we should tell about what He has shown us to be true about Him. So I am challenging myself to show up here. This conversation with was extremely delightful on spiritual formation and spiritual direction.

Monday lunch. My mister is off on Mondays. Sometimes we eat out but mostly we cook yummy food at home.

told about grit bowls huevos rancheros style. Blue stone ground grits, homemade chorizo, fried eggs, avocado, pepper jack, salsa, green onions, and sour cream.

Really delicious.

My two favorite food groups : Latino and Southern.

And my mister.

Friday afternoon beauty therapy.

came and these are the beauty things that stood out to me.

I'm getting a vintage scuttle from that would look great w an arrangement like this.

My door, hopefully to paint it black soon, would look great for fall and winter...very hospitable. Or on a wall.

Then this kitchen. Love all the wood and light.

Thankful for beautiful things to make me smile.
