When incoming rain was announced, I thought I was prepared for it, I moved my painting inside covered up with walls. But the way Mother Nature hit… I was not ready for it. Another thing I was not ready for was the help that was coming my way while I was trying to keep my booth together all by myself. My neighbors what an amazing couple they helped me to hold on the walls. The wind was just crazy. Then came more people who tried to hold it on with me but things started to fall apart my painting were falling off and then these amazing people helped pick all my stuff so fast and moved it in. There were little kids who helped me dry my paintings. I am just out of words to describe how thankful and grateful I am for all of you. Unfortunately I was so overwhelmed I forgot to ask their names. People who helped me were God send. I am forever grateful for you. I wish I could thank you one more time.
Also thankful for Denise who immediately offered me a tent for day 3 setup and Symphoni who help me with finishing up and sending people my way. Heather for giving me a hug just because I went through this. Love you all!
Finally, I am thankful for all of you who stopped by my booth while it still existed to appreciate and admire my art and those lovely collectors who bought my paintings. I am forever grateful for events like this that make me value human connection. There is nothing better than making that connection in this world.
Love you all and thank you to the amazing team of Greater Augusta Arts Council for pulling off this incredible event!
My husband Vikas Malik for supporting me in all this, love you so much!
Also, for those who were looking for me on Sunday, I am sorry. Unfortunately, I was too disheartened to set up that day. I was just trying to sink in what happened. You can reach out to me here or via email. Thank you so much 🙏
