🐝 Calling all young entrepreneurs! 🍋🎨🕯️🍪

Do you know a creative kid with a business idea? Whether they make jewelry, artwork, baked goods, crafts, candles, slime, 3D prints, or have another unique product to sell, we'd love to have them join us!

The Auburn Creative District's Honeybee Festival is partnering with Kids Markets to bring a market run entirely by kids (ages 5–17) to Auburn on Saturday, September 12. It's a fun, real-world opportunity for young entrepreneurs to showcase their talents, build confidence, meet customers, and even earn a little spending money.

We invite families from Auburn and across southeast Nebraska, Lincoln, Omaha, Nebraska City, Beatrice, Falls City, and northwest Missouri to be part of this exciting new addition to the festival.

Missed the first two classes? No worries! You can still join us for the last two evenings and learn new watercolor techniques in each session.

Each class focuses on a different technique and you'll complete a small painting to take home, so you won't feel behind if you're just getting started.

Help us stitch together something special for the 2026 Honeybee Festival!

We're inviting quilters to create a Scrappy King's Crown block in black, white, and gray. Each block will become part of a beautiful community quilt that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and the people who make our community so special.

Whether you've been quilting for decades or you're looking for a fun project, we'd love for you to be part of it!

📍 Pick up instructions and fabric at Needles I, or request them by email.
🧵 Finished blocks are due August 11.

Last night, our Honeybee Festival planning team gathered to hammer out more details for this year's festival, and we can't wait to share what's in store!

Along with many of your favorite activities returning, we're excited to introduce some fun new experiences that we think you're going to love. Stay tuned—we'll be sharing more over the coming weeks!

A huge thank you to this incredible group of volunteers who generously give their time, talents, and creativity to make the Honeybee Festival possible. Events like this don't happen without people who care deeply about their community, and we're so grateful for each of them.
