But somewhere along the way, I realized success also looks like saying yes to the trip, trying the new restaurant, laughing with friends, and creating memories you’ll talk about for years.

Dallas was a reminder that life isn’t meant to be all work.

My event strategist brain was supposed to be on vacation in Dallas… but here we are. 😂

Great band.
Great DJs.
Good venue.

But it got me thinking…

Why is the promoter always expected to carry the entire marketing load?

If you’re getting paid from the event, shouldn’t you be helping promote it too?

I had an airport realization today…

People don’t buy tickets to events.

They buy the expectation of how they’ll feel.

The same reason some folks walk into Walmart in pajamas but somehow get dressed for Target is the same reason some events sell out and others struggle.

The experience starts long before check-in.

Guests know within the first 10 minutes if your event is worth their time.

Not based on your flyer.
Not based on how much money you spent.
Based on how it feels when they walk in.

I’ve seen beautiful events fall flat because the experience wasn’t thought through.

As an event strategist, I don’t just focus on how it looks…
I focus on how it flows, how it feels, and how people move through it.

That’s what makes people stay.
That’s what makes people come back.
