50 and a Day.

Fifty and a Day... No way!
Still able to capture the light in the most magnificent of ways.
Five OH and one more.
Still got ni**as wanting more
24 after half a Centi
And still got more than girls approaching twenty
A silent refreshing breeze follows as you sashay by to pass on fifty and embrace the day
At your age putting beauty in a daze
Class through a phase
Getting lost in the haze
Of turning 50, BUT worry not cause
We're still gonna blaze
Many more ahead, BUT here's to 50...
And a Day. Peace.

It's Noffin...

Depression is something crazy BUT it's funny
Mix it with oppression then it becomes nothing
Like coming up from water into smoke inhaling;
different situations, but in both, your lungs are still failing
arms still flailing like life could be reached with the next swing or stroke
until the moment you realize that it's all some twisted joke, and
Both the water and the smoke were put there by some wicked bloke
who thought to himself that the perfect punchline would be the path of death you might've chosen.
It's nuffin when you realize that there're more options than you were made aware.
Though in such a case I'd be remised not to let you know beforehand that you should beware.
Cause the powers that be don't take kindly to those who dare
And those who're still drowning don't really care
As long as the waters remain crystalline clear
And those in the fire are just getting higher
to the point where the water and fire becomes their only desires
Then you gotta let them go after trying and trying over and over to save some from the water you realize that as long as their kicking and fighting the person that's saving them then no one floats.
And those in fire wanna hold you back cause they can't see through the smoke.
Bottom line is... you'll be on your own facing all these blokes.
And they'll probably try to swindle favor by telling those desperate lungs to relax while he fetches their savior.
Don't fall for the foolery cause that's precisely how you and yours were corralled through the deserts
Into these desperate battles for a life unsold
So knowing that, my brother, there's no need to revert.
The current past holds nuffin to better the present,
And The future gets better the stronger your presence.
So even though you're numbers ain't up, just remember that you're stronger than the bloke and all of his weapons.
