We designed the Delta Recognition Coin with a simple idea in mind: to give Delta pilots something truly unique and meaningful to hand to a special passenger.
A lot of thought went into getting this coin right. The 3D relief and turbine design took months to develop and refine, right down to the weight and feel of the finished coin.
We wanted it substantial enough that when someone receives it, it feels special—but not so heavy that carrying 15–20 of them in your flight bag becomes a burden.
The finished coin is plated in real gold and nickel, with detailed 3D relief and a turbine-inspired design that reflects the quality and craftsmanship we wanted this coin to represent.
More than anything, we wanted to create something we're proud to carry as Delta pilots—and even more proud to give away.
