This painting keeps coming back to me —
not as nostalgia, but as a remembering of how community is made.

For the women, families, and creatives in my community — especially those who feel how tender and divided our country is right now — and who are choosing presence, kindness, and care in the middle of it.

The May Pole feels less like a childhood ritual to me now, and more like an ancient reminder:
each of us holding a thread,
each of us shaping the pattern together.

This is what I see so often at weddings — families gathering, stories meeting, grief and joy standing side by side, and something new being formed in real time.

We don’t bypass what’s happening in the world.
We stay human with one another.

This, too, is how a community — and a country — is held.

Happy New Year, and Happy 7 Year Business Anniversary!🪷💫🥰💫

As I look toward 2026, I’m marking seven years of live wedding painting. What began as a conversation with my daughter Sarah after a visit to the High Museum became work I love deeply. I’m grateful to the venues, fellow vendors, and couples who have trusted me to quietly witness their ceremonies.

This year holds studio time for a solo show in June and, hopefully, a summer visit to Germany to visit Sarah, Mark and my grandboys. With a limited number of weddings, I’m now welcoming bookings for 2026 and 2027.
