🌟 CCLC Literacy Ambassador Spotlight: Tashonda "Shon" McCormick🌟
This month, we're proud to spotlight one of our incredible Literacy Ambassadors, Tashonda, the creative force behind Shon's Stories and a passionate local children's author dedicated to inspiring young readers throughout our community.

Tashonda is much more than a storyteller; she is an educator, literacy ambassador, and positive role model who consistently shares her time and talents to help children and families discover the joy of reading. Whether she's leading an engaging Imagination Library Storytime, encouraging early learning through music and movement, or connecting with families through her educational content, Tashonda's passion for literacy shines in everything she does.
As one of our most dedicated and consistent Literacy Ambassadors, Tashonda continually goes above and beyond to support the Cumberland County Literacy Council's mission. She is a familiar face at our storytimes, community literacy events, and volunteer development opportunities, including our Turning Pages, Changing Lives Literacy Ambassador training events. Her commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth allows her to bring fresh ideas and meaningful experiences to every child and family she serves.

Through Shon's Stories, Tashonda has created a vibrant children's learning brand that combines storytimes, educational videos, music, and interactive learning experiences to build literacy, math, and science skills in fun and engaging ways. Her work extends far beyond the pages of a book—she is helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. We are incredibly grateful for Tashonda's unwavering dedication, positive spirit, and the lasting impact she continues to make across Cumberland County.
