We’ve been pulling supers off hives and spinning Early Bloom honey for 3 weeks now! Some of the clay&hive bees are already in the mountains making that delicious Valle Magic honey and of course, with a bit more rain the forecast, more Spring Wildflower honey is being brought in. Are you a local beekeeper looking to simplify your extraction process? The honey house 🍯 is open for the 2026 season! Each year, we’ve welcomed friends to bring their supers and extract their honey using our fantastic commercial equipment. Let us take the sweet but sticky clean-up off your hands.

The earliest I’ve ever harvested honey in a season! The bees have brought in a bunch of Spring nectar already and it’s capped and ready to go! A batch of Early Bloom honey jars will be available for purchase in the coming days.

Come see us at Week 4 of the East Charlotte Farmers’ Market!
It’s happening on 🌎 Earth Day! Be sure to stop by and celebrate with us. The first 100 people will get a free pollinator plant 🪴 from McLawland Farms.

In addition to the wonderful market vendors there will be an array of 📚educational opportunities. Dinner is covered too with food truck will be here along with selling 🍺 b**r. Stop bye and make an evening of it.

Spent the day at the Clay & Hive Calloway Hills apiary adding supers to all of my early splits that are booming when I got a call from my dear friends over at Bee Downtown - one of their partner hives swarmed. A quick drive over and a shake out of the tree- and the queen and her workers are now safely relocated. Springtime in the bee yards keeps all of us busy!

Refilled one of my favorite coffee mugs with and restocked more Spring Wildflower and Valle Magic honey jars. We love this community focused coffee shop, and their scratch made breakfast, lunch and dessert items are divine! Swing by and grab some ☕️ 🧁 and 🍯 next time you are in Harrisburg!

February 10th - first warm day of 2026 and the bees know it! The beginning signs of Spring in the beekeeping world- fresh eggs being laid again by the overwintered queen bees. They slow or stop reproduction during the coldest weeks of the year. This is a critical time. All hives were fed 2.5 weeks ago before our ice and snow storms and got fed again today! This warm weather also means- 🍯 The Farmstand is open! 🍯
