Last night was truly special. The launch of Refound by Tina Colby, A book featuring 12 artists who found their way back to creativity, was nothing short of beautiful, and the book sold out.

I’m deeply honored to be one of the twelve artists included in this project. Each story reflects resilience, rediscovery, and the courage to return to that creative part of ourselves that never really leaves.

Tina, thank you for bringing these stories together and creating something so meaningful, reconnects people to their creative spirit. Grateful to be part of it.

Title: Conversation with forgotten self

An intimate dialogue with the child I once was and the adult I have become. A small red-orange figure embodies fear, illiteracy, and fragile self-belief, while a larger seating form reflects growth shaped by time. Though transformed, the adult still carries the child within him, making their shared space a quiet measure of adaptive strength and the cost of becoming.

Which Craft? (Witchcraft)

This series challenges the colonial mislabeling of West African spiritual traditions by reframing “witchcraft” as a question: Which craft did they truly practice? The answer lives in us, we are shaped by our ancestors, and we shape the future in return. A young Black man sits in contemplation, guided by an ancestral presence toward a glowing doorway that symbolizes a future we may never enter, but can deeply influence. The white seat beyond it represents the spaces we create for the next generation. Knowledge here is not confined to classrooms, but carried through culture, resilience, and lived wisdom.

Title: After all

Buried in rust, he looks upward, not chasing hope, but questioning time. Around him, yesterday’s futures decay. Even the UFO falls silent. Dreams age. Innovation gathers dust. Nothing escapes becoming history.

This work isn’t about loss… it’s about truth: decay is not failure, it’s fate.
To move forward knowing that forward, too, will fade.
