This picture hits different this morning during this season of Black Cruelty and Injustice. You see 6 Black men leading a band of hundreds. 5 drum majors and 1 featured twirler-Myself. We were and still are symbols of BLACK EXCELLENCE. IT'S TIME WE USE OUR Platforms to protest and to display our Unity as BLACK LEADERS. GOD MADE US THE HEAD AND NOT THE TAIL. WHICH TO ME MEANS, THE HEADS NEED TO TAKE A STAND TO MAKE A STATEMENT TO THE WORLD THAT HAS BEEN KILLING OUR RACE. I will accept this challenge of using my platform in coming days-weeks to stand with my fallen African American Brothers. Don't sit back behind your cell phones and televisions and do nothing. God said work, fight, and pray and that is what I intend to do. I am a successful Gay African American Male who has faced many injustices and today I pledge to make a stand with my platform.
