Know what your blood pressure and heart rate typically run so you'll know when to seek help.

Systolic shows how hard our heart works to pump blood out to the rest of our body.

Diastolic shows the pressure when our heart is at rest.

A normal heart rate for an adult is 60-100.

Update on me: I'm feeling better today. Ativan has helped me get the sleep I need and last night, I slept for about 10 hours πŸ™ŒπŸΎ It was my 1st night of real rest.
After getting literally no sleep for about 4 weeks and still carrying on as usual, I became exhausted and almost passing out.

The 2nd pic is my current blood pressure. For me, it is close to my normal blood pressure, which is 90s/50s. This blood pressure would typically be a medical emergency for most. So, if anyone experiences a pressure this low or lower, go to the ER, especially if you have symptoms like: dizziness, feeling faint or passing out, short of breath, confusion, weakness, blood in your stool or vomiting blood.

THANK YOU all for your prayers and well wishes!!

This looks like a normal pic on a normal day right?

Actually, I was dealing with shortness of breath, chest tightening, anxiety because I felt like I couldn't breathe, a painful, ruptured ovarian cyst, exhaustion from horrible sleep patterns, dehydration and feeling like I was about to pass out at any moment.

I STILL drove to work feeling like I was gonna pass out and worked my shift like nothing was wrongπŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ But I did at least let them know I wasn't feeling good. Thank God it was a short, light day.

I finally went to the ER late last night because I felt like garbage.

I was scheduled to work today and I was STILL going to go (and I wasn't gonna go to the ER)πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ but I knew I wasn't fit to be at work. I knew if I went to work, it would've been a bad situation.

Yesterday, I FINALLY retired that "superwoman" tradition/culture that many of us women have adopted. Some learned from watching the women in our lives do everything with pride, never crying, folding, showing weakness, illness, etc. And some of us have been thrown into it by default because we lack the proper support system.

Being a nurse, I understand how simple medical situations can quickly go from "Oh, it's not that bad to wow, if she would have just gone to the doctor, she would still be here!"

I pay attention to my body and know when something is wrong. I sometimes hesitate seeking help, but the holy spirit and my nurse training always guide me properly.

I am encouraging men and women to drop all that nonsense that has been learned and pick up some common sense. There is nothing weak or wrong about missing work to seek necessary medical attention. Those things can wait, but if we wait, it may be too late.

I wasn't drinking water or anything like I should have because I was in pain from that ovarian cyst. That's how one thing starts and snowballs from there.

I am home resting. I just needed some IV fluids and the doc gave me some Ativan to help me sleep. I didn't have any blood clots or anything concerning.

Don't leave this earth prematurely. Don't put yourself in a position that could cause you permanent disability because you wanted to act like you got it all together.

My dad walked past this video game and was interested in playing, so Lamont made sure my dad played the game. Then our nephew Arien came in with the assist ❀️

I appreciate the relationship my husband and dad have. Even when his memory slips, he never forgets who Lamont is.

I appreciate my husband for always taking the time to help, show love, spend time, talk trash, talk sports, and anything else that has to do with my dad.

Senior citizens are often shuffled aside, overlooked, viewed as a burden or in the way. Not many people want to take the time to slow down, wait on or assist our elderly. When you see them out in public, be kind, acknowledge them, compliment them, help them.

It doesn't cost anything to be nice to someone else.
