What is it they say about indecision? No idea. Don’t care. 🤷🏻♀️ Truth is, I couldn’t choose which room suited this piece best. Maybe that means it belongs in all of them?
Which room would you pick?
24” x 28” • Gold leaf, acrylic, and poetry on cradled wood panel. ⚜️
Time and Eternity was created on cradled wood using collaged pages of Emily Dickinson’s poetry as the foundation. Fragments of her words remain visible beneath layers of blue paint, birds in flight, and gold leaf.
This piece reflects on the stories women leave behind and the ways their voices continue to resonate across generations. Dickinson’s reflections on time and eternity become intertwined with my own journey as a woman and artist living in this moment. The layered surface speaks to history, memory, and the passage of time, while the birds suggest freedom, transformation, and the enduring connection between past and present.
Through poetry, nature, and paint, this work explores how women’s stories continue to shape one another across lifetimes.
