Who’s ready for MORE meet the God of Carnage team?! 🧡

Up next we have the wonderful Kay Martinovich, our Director!

Kay Martinovich is a professional theater director based in Chicago. Credits include the Jeff-nominated and Chicago premiere of The Father by Florian Zeller at Remy Bumppo Theatre, the Jeff-nominated Naked by Luigi Pirandello at Trap Door Theatre, and the Jeff-award winning La BĂȘte by David Hirson also at Trap Door. Other credits include Deirdre of the Sorrows by J.M. Synge at City Lit Theater and the American premiere of By the Bog of Cats
by Marina Carr for Irish Repertory of Chicago. As Associate Artistic Director of Irish Repertory of Chicago, she directed the Jeff-nominated Bailegangaire by Tom Murphy, Pentecost by Stewart Parker, The Mai by Marina Carr, The Bear adapted by Brian Friel from Chekhov, and the American premiere of Chekhov’s short story The Yalta Game adapted by Brian Friel. Her work has been seen on many Chicago stages including Lifeline Theatre, Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, Mary-Arrchie Theatre, Live Bait, Apple Tree/TYA, Famous Door Theatre, Emerald City, Chicago Dramatists, among other theaters throughout the Midwest.

Kay is Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University where she teaches Meisner-based acting, audition technique, directing, and professional development for the actor. Recent productions she has directed at NIU include In a Word by Lauren Yee, her own adaptation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, Girls and Dolls by Lisa McGee, and A Bright New Boise by Samuel D. Hunter. Kay holds a PhD in Theater Historiography from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and an MPhil in Irish Theater and Film Studies from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

Upcoming productions include Green Corridors by Ukrainian playwright Natalya Vorozhbyt at Trap Door Theatre and Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar at NIU this fall. She is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC). Website: kaymartinovich.

Autumn R Dancy (She/Her) is a recent NIU graduate, earning a BFA in stage management and a minor in psychology. She is currently stage managing the tour ‘Games Women Play’ with Je’Caryous Johnson Entertainment and has worked professionally in various positions for the past eight years including the entire 2024 summer season at Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre in Idaho.
She would like to thank her family and friends for being a constant support system and always encouraging her to go above and beyond.

Who’s ready for MORE Meet the God of Carnage team?! 🧡

Up next we have the wonderful .2 as one of our Stage Managers!

Megan Thompson (she/her) is a Chicago based actor and stage manager from Louisville, Kentucky. Megan received her B.F.A in Acting from Northern Illinois University and is excited to join Kane Rep with this production. Some past credits from NIU include; Much Ado About Nothing, Hit The Wall, Bike America, and Bird In The Hand. Some past credits from Commonwealth Theatre Center include; The Trojan Women and Macbeth. Some past stage management credits include; Life is a Dream (NIU), Art for Life (NIU), In a Word (NIU), Romeo and Juliet (GreatWorks Theatre) and The Giver (GreatWorks Theater). This is her third production stage managing for Kay and is grateful to work with someone as dedicated, hard working and talented as she is. Megan would like to thank her friends and family for being “pretty cool”. Cheers to live theatre!

Next up we have the wonderful Paige Larkowski as Annette Raleigh!

Paige Larkowski (she/her) is a Chicago-based actor and educator. She is honored to be part of such a lovely cast and crew! Paige has spent the last year performing with Bim Bam Boom, a Chicago based burlesque troupe, and teaching voice and movement at Northern Illinois University. Select credits include Wendy Chambers in SILK (Swym Good Films), understudying Sense and Sensibility (American Players Theatre), Rita in Kernel of Sanity (Northern Illinois), and Emma in Girls and Dolls (Northern Illinois). Paige holds her MFA from Northern Illinois University and her BFA from Western Michigan University. She is a proud member of Teamsters Local 727.

Jamaque Newberry (he/him) is a from Actor from Fort Lauderdale, Fl. with his MFA in Acting from Northern Illinois University. For his time on stage he has loved his time playing the roles of Malvolio in Twelfth Night(Chicago Shakespeare Theater) Orpheus in Party at the Pantheon(Factory Theatre). The Griot in Brother Size Corporal Nym In Merry Wives of Windsor, and Constable Warren in Our Town (American Players Theater) also understudying roles in East Texas Hot Links(Court Theater), The Island (Court Theater), Judy’s Life Work(Definition Theatre) He currently resides in Chicago, Ill where he continues his love for expressing language and performance education that pushes our world forward.

Next up we have the wonderful Brian Koester as Michael Novak!

Brian Koester (he/him) is thankful to be working with Kane Repertory Theater again where he was last seen in On an Average Day. Past work includes Good People and Wake up Mrs. Moore (Iambe Theater), Measure for Measure, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet (Kane Repertory Theater) and What the Butler Saw (Noble Fool). Other favorite credits include Job Opportunity (Bailiwick Theater), Saved (Oblivion Theater), The Oresetia (Stage Actors Ensemble), The Tempest (Marin Shakespeare Company) and Buried Child (DePaul University). Brian is a graduate of the Theatre School at DePaul University. He would like to thank his family for their love and support.

First up, we have the wonderful .hammel as Veronica Novak.

Hannah Hammel (she/her) is a Chicago-based actor, director, producer, and educator. She has performed with Refracted Theatre Co., Facility Theatre, Oil Lamp Theater, Perennial Theatre, Walnut Street Theatre, Shakespeare in the Woods, Newnan Shakespeare, Philadelphia Women’s Theatre Festival, and many others. She is the co-founder and Marketing and PR Director of Spicy Witch Productions, a feminist theater company based in New York City. Select recent credits include understudying Actor 1 in Refracted Theatre Co.’s world premiere of Laura Winters’ Coronation, understudying Alice in Facility Theatre’s Right Now (Jeff Award, Best Ensemble), playing Olympe in Oil Lamp’s The Revolutionists, playing Olga in a film adaptation of Chekhov’s Three Sisters, and directing God of Carnage and Rage Play (premiere) at Northern Illinois University.
