I spend a lot of my school days disinfecting instruments and spacing out usage, but this is useful for families with instruments at home, too. Be careful cleaning your piano keys. I've seen them crack! The dishwasher is great for recorders, but do not use heat dry. Keep playing, but PLEASE clean your instruments!

CDC guidelines for how long COVID-19 can last on surfaces:
Brass – 5 Days
Wood – 4 Days
Plastic – 3 Days
Strings – 3 Days
Cork – 2 Days

One particular week this past winter, I caught some of my preschool kids sucking on their sit spots. Ew!! The classes were also getting smaller and smaller, from kids staying home with the flu.
