⚔️ 2. Masters of the Universe (Amazon MGM) - $31.1M
Despite the massive marketing push and 18-character posters, He-Man has officially stumbled out of the gate. Facing a heavily male-skewing audience (68%), Travis Knight’s live-action epic landed at the low end of projections with $31.1 million against a reported $170M–$200M production budget. Can international numbers or strong audience legs save it?

History has been made! Kane Parsons' Backrooms absolutely shattered expectations, delivering a historic A24 debut with a massive $118 million global opening! 🤯💥

Meanwhile, the viral horror hit Obsession pulls off a rare third-weekend feat, actually increasing its numbers to cross $104 million domestically. 🔥

After five wild seasons, The Boys is coming to an end. The massive series finale, titled "Blood and Bone," officially drops on Amazon Prime Video this Wednesday, May 20th. But if you can't wait, you can actually see it early in theaters TONIGHT (Tuesday, May 19) at 9:30 PM local time!

Amazon MGM Studios has partnered with major chains (including AMC, Regal, B&B, Marcus, Cineplex, Cinema West, Cinepolis, and Regency) for a special, one-night-only event exclusively in 4DX auditoriums! Yes, you will quite literally feel every explosion, punch, and drop of blood in motion-activated seats as Butcher and Homelander face off for the last time.
