I decided to unlock the Skate Along USA page as I've had people asking if there was anyway they could communicate with any of the regulars who skated here over the years.
I've also had people asking if I had any Skate Along memorabilia for sale. I do have a few things which I can post here for anyone interested. If there's anything particular that you would be looking for, let me know.
So, let me be the first one to make a post about how much I miss Skate Along USA! It had been my go to rink for 35 years. My kids learned to skate there and also worked there. All in total, I worked there 25 years, with the last almost 9 years as an owner. My husband and I have so many fond memories of the great people we met in our time there.
As many of you know, we didn't own the building, just the business, so when the property owner decided to sell, we had no other options.
It's hard to believe that we are approaching the 1 year anniversary of its closure. It pains me to see the building just sitting there with nothing having been done since then. I know so many in the community who truly miss it.
So many great memories were created within those walls! I invite you to share some of your special memories here while the page is open again.
