⭐️Artist Spotlight ⭐️

My name is Ro Sungmin Park, a Korean American raised in the US south. I grew up preparing to become a Christian missionary. When I turned twenty, I hiked the Camino de Santiago trail in Spain for a month, praying everyday to be a better servant of God over the next decade. Now I’m in my late 20s, and I am none of those things. I failed to fulfill my purpose, and actually deconstructed it.

Through that process, I revealed the true core of my belief. What I truly cared about was my community, and now everyday I take another step to serve them.

Through my creativity, I write poetry to bring myself and others to a more beautiful sense of truth. I share often in my personal and writing accounts, but I’ve also had the opportunity to share over open mic and be published in a university magazine in both Portuguese and English.

Through my volunteer work, I create sustainable programs of transportation and education so that our community can thrive, even through the hardest of times. I joined Escuelitas in 2024 as an outside observer, doing what little I could to help initially. Through the leadership, I was able to grow and eventually co-lead a committee that created a volunteer-driven, transportation system for families to attend our freedom schools. We run multiple programs a month as a fully grassroots organization.

Through my photography, I promote the best of what Georgia can offer: masterfully crafted meals that reflect the diversity and tenacity of our immigrant populations. In 2025, I was laid off from my job and stayed unemployed for almost 6 months. I had to uncover my motivations for continuing to persevere under a tough market. Then it rang in my heart: “I moved to Doraville to stay. I love Buford Highway with all my being.” That love is most cherished in the delicious food cooked and served along the blessed road.

Perhaps God had heard my prayers, just not as I once thought. Perhaps it was with all of the above, what is truly beloved.

⭐️Artist Spotlight⭐️

⁣⁣Lauren Driskill was born in Seoul, South Korea and adopted as a baby. She grew up in Florida, and moved to Atlanta in 2007 to complete her B.F.A. in Fashion Marketing & Management at SCAD, graduating in 2010.

After college, she began her career in the advertising industry - assisting wardrobe stylists on commercials and photo shoots. In 2013, she joined IATSE Local 479 and has since built a diverse career in film, television, and theatre, working in the Costumes Department in a variety of roles. Her credits include Assistant Costume Designer on projects such as We Have a Ghost, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, and Slanted, Costume Fitter (Hidden Figures, Fly Me to the Moon), & Costume Buyer (Sleepy Hollow, Cobra Kai).

She recently costume designed her first theatre production, The Heart Sellers, a critically acclaimed play centered on the Asian immigrant experience in America in 1973, set against the backdrop of the landmark Hart–Celler Act of 1965.

Lauren’s love of clothing started early — from playing dress-up as a kid to styling friends for dates, special events, and job interviews. What always fascinated her was the transformation: how a well-crafted ensemble could shift confidence, identity, and storytelling all at once. That fascination naturally evolved into a passion for character building through costume design and helping create the world in which a story lives. She thrives in collaborative environments and deeply values the collective effort it takes to bring a production to life.

Outside of film and theatre, Lauren resells vintage clothing and accessories at local markets, curating bold colors, prints, and textures for people who love to stand out. The market community has become a creative home — supportive, inclusive, and full of heart. You can find her vintage resell work on Instagram at for upcoming market dates.

As an AAPI creative, Lauren hopes to continue building community and collaborating with other AAPI artists. As an adoptee, reconnecting with her roots through creative work feels especially meaningful, and is excited for what’s ahead.

⭐️ Sage Kim ⭐️

Sage (she/her) is a Korean-American actor and production designer based in
Atlanta, GA.

“My work allows me to stay curious and meet characters that teach me to better empathize our world, and I’m so relieved I pushed beyond my fears to pursue acting. Living in Atlanta means being surrounded by a myriad of incredibly talented people which is a gift. I love artists and I’m still often dazed I get to call myself one. Growing up in America, my days were often lulled by images of earlier childhood in Korea. The less vivid those memories became, I relied on my imagination to be able to see facial expressions, colors, movements, and atmospheres alive in me. It kept me sane and shaped a lot of me today. I didn’t realize then what a superpower our imagination is, and my greatest joy of being an actor today is getting to use my imagination fully, boundlessly, and unapologetically. I’m also grateful to have gotten to work behind the camera/
audience doing crew magic at times. Stepping into art department taught me different ways to visualize a story, and every time I get to do it I’m constantly
reminded of the level of teamwork and heart it takes. What we get to do is so beautiful, and our stories. Deepest love and gratitude to the beautiful people I’ve gotten to collaborate with so far, and I hope to collaborate more and more continuously.”

Upcoming work: “Kim’s Convenience“ (theatre, Janet U/S) at The Studio Theatre Tierra Del Sol, “Basic” (a film by Chelsea Devantez)

🎭 SYNOPSIS: In this darkly funny satire, twin Asian American sisters, brilliant, ambitious, and inseparable, have dedicated their lives to gaining admission to “The College.” However, when the coveted early decision spot is awarded to someone else, the competition turns deadly. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth, peerless offers a razor-sharp exploration of academic pressure, identity, and the lengths we’ll go for success. Wickedly clever and bitingly relevant, this play delves into the heart of ambition with humor, horror, and a candid examination of what it takes to win.
Content Notice: This production contains incidents of racism, ableism, death, simulated physical violence, sexualized content, fire, and body shaming.
