From the first decade of Pride, leather and k!nksters took to the streets and worked behind the scenes. From the very first D***s on Bikes in โ76 to the more than 20 gay motorcycle clubs in L.A. by the late โ70s, the leather and kink community has opened our parades, organized fundraisers, educated, protected, and bankrolled q***r life for over 50 years.
Pride has always been, first| and foremost, a protest-a
moment in time for everyone to live their most authentic lives. K!nk and fe**sh have been integral to that identity, showing up as our full selves - unashamed.
Long before corporate sponsors and politicians crowded the floats, Pride was about every part of our community showing up, being seen, celebrating our individuality, and openly expressing ourselves for the world to see - and be reminded - we arenโt going anywhere.
Now more than ever, itโs important that we show up, stand together, and remember that Pride itself is a protest.
Itโs our call to resistance.
Itโs our pledge to celebrate q***r joy.
Itโs our connection to every q***r that came before us.
K!nk belongs at Pride. Period
Thank to Atlanta Pride for being a supporter of KDS since day one - youโve made sure LGBTQ k!nksters feel welcome and safe year round at your events. โค๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
