Plein air painting is a rigorous sport! Hauling all of your gear into the field to catch the quickly changing light is challenging for even a seasoned artist. So rewarding when it pays off! Here are "Spring Chickens" painted (by yours truly) on location Tuesday morning.

Sara especially enjoys painting “en plein air,” working directly from nature, on the spot, seeking out tranquil settings, feeling the wind in her hair, the sun on her face, and immersing herself in the landscape. Ultimately, she endeavors to awaken a sense of wonder and delight in her work, to transport the viewer to another place and time, to see as if seeing for the first time.
