Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

While I personally identify more deeply with Juneteenth, I can’t ignore the reality that today is also part of the American experience. From the fireworks and family barbecues to gathering with loved ones and even enjoying a day away from work, many of us benefit from moments we didn’t create but have been invited to enjoy.

It made me think about how God works.

Sometimes we receive blessings we didn’t expect, didn’t earn, and may not even fully identify with. That’s grace. Sometimes it’s not our position that needs to change—it’s our perspective.

As our nation marks 250 years of history, I’m reminded that history is bigger than one person, one race, one political party, or one generation. It’s a story filled with triumphs and tragedies, victories and wounds, lessons and legacies. We honor the past by learning from it while continuing to build a better future together.

Today, I’m choosing gratitude without ignoring truth. I’m celebrating freedom while praying for greater justice. I’m thankful for where we’ve come from while believing God is still writing the next chapter.

“For where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17

May we continue to pursue the kind of freedom that changes hearts, restores communities, and reflects the Kingdom of God.

Happy Independence Day. May we never stop growing as a nation, and may we never stop seeking the freedom that only God can give. ❤️🤍💙
