I’ve been in the TV media game for a veryyyy long time.
Over the last 13 years, I’ve shot, hosted and judged nearly 10 Food TV pilots with major networks and A-list production companies.
Some came REALLY close. But between leadership changes, budgets, “not-checking-a-box,” the economy, broken promises and almost-greenlights… none made it to air. It was a very frustrating process to say the least.
Last year, I got tired of waiting for the phone to ring, and emails to be received…. Waiting to be giving the opportunity.
So I took a leap of faith and bet on myself.
I created, Executive Produce and host “Cooking With Your Grandma Show”—a show built around my vision, my authentic voice, the stories I want to tell and the shows I would watch.
These days, I spend just as much time behind the camera—producing, editing and putting the pieces together—as I do in front of it.
The hours are long and the work is endless, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
