Join me in honoring my mother, , this .

I’m grateful for her commitment to freedom, true peace, justice, and nonviolence.

I’m inspired by her love for humanity, her faith in God, and her consistency to purpose.

Without her, there would be no federal holiday commemorating my father’s birthday.

And The King Center, which she founded less than three months after Daddy was assassinated, would not exist.

Salute, Mama.

As his words remind us, “tomorrow is today,” and the challenges of our time demand vigorous and positive action. Dr. King’s charge to confront the fierce urgency of now calls each of us to move with purpose by refusing apathy, rejecting complacency, and embracing our responsibility to act.

Let us recommit and refocus our efforts to meet this moment with courage and conviction. May we move beyond words to sustained, steadfast action that reflects our commitment to service and social action in the communities we serve and the broader world.
