Joy to the World! The music of Christmas connects past to present, sounds to memory, music to spirit. It unites us in shared expectancy and shared delight. We sing together the carols of the season and listen in wonder for the song of the angels.

For many of you, Christmas with Atlanta Master Chorale has become a treasured part of your holiday tradition, and you bring family, friends, neighbors, and out of town visitors to share this time with you and us. With the outpouring of support last year, the decision was made to once again include three performances in this season.

Please join us as we as we journey to the manger in Bethlehem and experience again the birth of a promise of new life, peace, and joy.

The holidays are in full swing! Here are a few festive events you and your family can enjoy this week with Alliance Theatre, Promontory Productions, and Woodstock Arts - formerly Elm Street.

(KNOCK, KNOCK)
Come in from the cold and celebrate community, family, and warmth this holiday season! Welcome to The Apartment Building. Below us, above us, and beside us, the residents are preparing for the holidays and trying to stay warm. Join us on a floor to floor adventure, meeting and celebrating with a variety of friends who all call The Apartment Building home. Surprises hide behind each door — all you need to do is (Knock, Knock).

Tickets at https://alliancetheatre.org/production/2021-22/knock-knock.

An Actor's Carol
Promontory Players Theater presents An Actor’s Carol. This is not your typical one-man show, nor your usual Christmas Carol. This kinetic production borrows heavily from the theatrical techniques of silent film, radio, and vaudeville, while honoring a wonderfully complex and redemptive story. Elements of Eastern European Clown and Mime are employed to keep the show moving at an athletic clip. Immerse yourself in the spectacle of this spirited marathon towards redemption… through Dickens.

Tickets at https://www.promontoryp.com/current.

A Christmas Carol
Broadway heavy hitters, Alan Menken (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island), breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale of A Christmas Carol.

Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated “Bah! Humbug!” Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he’s forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present and Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful “Happy Christmas” before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him.

A Christmas Carol is a spectacular Broadway musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story and a Woodstock holiday tradition!
