⛰️✨💻It's time to dive into the simulation. ⛰️✨💻
Untethered is officially out of my hands and into yours!
This started as a mere idea while I was studying at Ohio University and taking creative writing classes for my major. The rough idea of "what would happen if everything we did daily wasn't a choice, but just a giant game of Sims we're a part of?" was shoved into a dusty box in the back of my mind because life got crazy...and who has the time to sit down and write a book anyway, right?
Then I made a deal, a New Years Resolution, with myself that I finally wanted to sit down and plan out the idea and just get it on paper. I wanted to write more like I did when I was in middle and high school. An outline on a yellow legal pad at a table in the back of Donkey Coffee turned into a few paragraphs on a word document. Then the few paragraphs turned into a few chapters.....then I scratched everything I'd written (No joke, hated it all, trashed it and crumbled up the outline) and started fresh while on a camping trip in Eastern Tennessee....It's seen countless drafts, plot changes, characters who were once just there as a side quest turn into the main event...I poured countless hours and emotions into these pages to make it the finished product in your hands today.
I can only hope and wish you find the same sense of adventure, joy and emotions while reading that I had while writing it. Enjoy your time with Georgia, Cal, Juno and Knox. I can't say much about their journey yet...we don't want any spoilers on day one, right?
I'd like to share my last part of my acknowledgements in the back of the book to round this post off. While I have so many people I thanked, I think this part means the most to me and this project:
"The last but biggest thank you goes to the following aspects of my life: the music in my headphones that helped me shape the characters; The Appalachian hills that raised me and made the setting of Untethered; and every story I’ve ever read throughout my life that told little and adult me, “Hey! You can do this too.”
And finally, to myself for finishing this, even when it would’ve been easier to stop."
Enjoy. Happy Reading! Something tells me in my soul that this is only the beginning. ✨📖

If you ordered from me, my wholesaler should ship them tomorrow! Books that were requested as hand delivered will be to you as soon as I get my box in the mail.
