Friday fun: Lentil shaped opaque glass pendant. I used light sky blue glass, manipulating the hot glass with brass tools. Why brass? Because the copper in the brass, combined with the slightly "dirty" flame from a hothead torch, interacts chemically with this blue to form the rust red splotches. Starting the year with something simple. Little glass beads made on the torch, with added mica powder. Green glass with bronze colored mica, with copper and brass hardware, and blue and clear glass with silver colored mica on silver hardware.
