AMplified Communication is a full service public relations, media and event planning organization. Our mission is to connect and expose student brands at Ohio University and throughout Ohio in the industries of art, entertainment, entrepreneurship and lifestyle. We want our clients to gain full potential of their brand’s exposure and positive recall right now and in the future. Uniquely, AMplified

will integrate media platforms in campaign and branding strategies. All clients will be college-aged students, looking to create and build their personal brand. Helping these students effectively reach their goals will be their colleagues who are looking for experience in brand development. Our organization is based on a value of “students helping students.”

We provide a multitude of public relations and branding services for independent, young entrepreneurs and their brands. Our services will include:

Development of public relations campaign for client brands

Social media management and marketing
Event planning

We combine all these services with our passion for entertainment, media and lifestyle and our dedication to assisting clients in reaching their ultimate goal. Eric is a graduate of Ohio University and also acts as the Chairman of the Ohio University School of Visual Communication Director’s Advisory Board. ince launching Wondersauce in December of 2011, the company has scaled to over 100 employees in NYC, Columbus, and Los Angeles. Initially conceived as an agency focused on products and platforms for brands and startups, the agency has diversified into a modern advertising agency with a point of view that modern advertising consists of infrastructure + activation with a strong focused on efficient media buying. The company is rare in that it can create very technical product driven work for some of the largest companies in the world and balance that with campaign driven, media, and social activations. Their clients include Google, Carlson-Rezidor Hotel Group, Chick-fil-A, Brooks Running, and Scotts Miracle-Gro. Panelist professor Karen Riggs --

Professor Riggs teaches undergraduate courses in Media Studies and graduate courses in Cultural Studies, Qualitative Methods, and the Digital Divide. Her research focuses on media and age. She has published two books: Granny @ Work: Age and Technology on the Job in America (Routledge, 2004) and Mature Audiences: Television in the Lives of Elders (Rutgers University Press, 1998). She is the author of several refereed journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers.

Riggs’s current project is a third book: Groovin’: Baby Boomers, Identity, and Marketing. This book explores the Baby Boomers’ influence on the changing confluence of marketing practices and cultural definitions of aging. It treats such topics as Botox, Vi**ra, Classic Rock, packaged nostalgia, and revolutionary practices of the American funeral industry.

Riggs is former Director of the School of Media Arts and Studies and was founding Director of the Game Research and Immersive Design (GRID) Lab. In 2013 she founded the Scripps College of Communication Certificate in Social Media Studies and is its coordinator.

A 2014 Ohio University Graduate, 'Appreneur' Brian Adams' iPhone apps have been downloaded over a quarter of a million times in 2015. After receiving a $20k investment during his senior year from within the university's incubator he developed his flagship product, a mobile e-commerce platform that is being licensed by entrepreneurs in over 12 countries, enabling them to create commerce communities of their own. For proof of concept he used his technology to support Relaced- a sneaker enthusiast marketplace which after a year attracted over 40,000 users, it was acquired (purchased) by NiceKicks.com in December 2015 and will be re-released as KickFlip in 2016. Brian and his team will be releasing over 50 new iOS application this year and will be hiring 'mobile CEOs' to manage the application while also giving them an ownership stake in the application.
