Leaves are changing and everything for the Fall is out in full supply at every store. We've been thoroughly enjoying c***r, pumpkin coffee, and maple cookies over here! While enjoying all of that loveliness, we've also filled our tables with the last of our blooms and crammed our dried flower space with as much as possible! Alas, our beautiful flower production is slowing down. Frost is just around the corner! Thus, tonight will be our last night with the cart at the Marathon!

We've enjoyed so many great conversations with you while creating bouquets. Flowers have left our cart to grace tables, celebrate events,' just because', to encourage someone, and so much more. My favorite visitors are usually the kids, and we've had some regulars this season. They know what they like and they arrange with confidence! I want to be more like them!

One little guy visited with his money jar and carefully selected blooms and proudly handed over his coins. It blessed me to see him appreciate thr beauty of our flowers and be so excited to take them home.

A favorite cherished memory of mine is receiving countless letters from my grandma in her loopy cursive. They arrived in the mail at camp, college, for birthdays, as thank yous & more. I always heard tidbits from home and most letters were signed like this...

From our corner of the world to yours, with love and daily prayers, your grandma and grandpa.

My grandma passed away last year and I miss those letters. They made me feel so special. Call me sentimental and old fashioned, but I believe that a hand-written note is a timeless and powerful way of connection and encouragement. That someone would take the time to sit down and craft words specifically with me in mind warms my soul.

So, this month our dried flower workshop will focus on Blooms & Blessings. We'll be fostering the beauty of relationships by setting aside space to craft dried flower cards & encouragement notes to 4 people in our lives.

The twins crawled through the dahlia field today for the first time and loved it! They celebrated turning a month older by exploring all sorts of new textures. I thoroughly enjoy watching them try to understand something new. The tiniest things bring them so much joy! Grabbing at low hanging willow leaves, racing each other to a dried up dahlia flower head, pulling apart a leaf, banging on a watering can, or crawling back and forth over watering lines occupied them for a very long time. I was awarded many smiles even as I pulled several leaves out of their mouths.

I haven't talked about our fostering journey in awhile. The twins have kept us busy! It has been a whirlwind only made possible by so many supportive people. Thank you for your grace and patience in this season. I have not been consistent online, or with my newsletter, or letting you know about workshops in a timely manner. I have taken too long to respond to messages. And yet, you still visit us at the cart and purchase our bouquets from local businesses, and you still reach out for events and special orders. THANK YOU!!!

Childhood Flashback! Wednesday mornings have become my routine deliver time and I often have several little helpers with me. We regularly visit Kindred Market, Hyacinth Bean Florist, Threefold Roasters, Pleasant Hill Vineyards LLC and Seaman's Cardinal Super Market.

It's made me smile because I used to be one of my Dad's little helpers when delivering sweet corn to local grocery stores. I had to take a moment and rummage through some old photos to share with you. So many stops today, and even smells from the grocery stores, brought these images to the forefront.

These stops are not purely business. We're savoring memory making & connection as we go; fostering the beauty in each moment. (Sometimes that's easy and sometimes that's a choice!)Those sweet corn picking and delivery days are beautiful core memories for me. And I also smile because I know so many of you are using our flowers to savor your own moments both happy and sad.

One of my favorite parts about those sweet corn deliveries was getting to pick out a fresh donut from the grocery store bakery. We've decided that we need to add a fun treat like that to our delivery day. Do you have any favorites from the places that we visit that we should try?

P.S I totally forgot that corn was once $1 a dozen. That makes me feel old!
