This episode is a little different—and a pretty special one.
My good friend Amanda Weimer is getting ready to step behind the microphone and launch a podcast of her own. As she begins this new adventure, she asked me to be her guinea pig for one of her first interviews, and I was more than happy to return the favor and take a turn on the other side of the microphone.
Amanda and I sit down to talk about my background in the fire service, the experiences that have shaped my journey, and what ultimately led me to create the Frontline Voices Podcast.
We also dive into how Frontline Voices got started, what I hoped to accomplish when I first hit record, and why creating a platform for first responders and other frontline professionals to tell their stories has become so important to me.
Usually, I'm the one asking the questions. This time, Amanda gets to put me in the hot seat.
It was a great conversation between two friends about the fire service, podcasting, community, and the stories behind the people who serve.
And if this interview is any indication of what's ahead, I'm excited to see where Amanda takes her own podcasting journey.
