The Madrigal Dinner is a renaissance-style dinner-theater-concert which includes Christmas-themed music performed by our PH Choristers, and seasonal selections by our Strings students. The event was an annual tradition at PH for about 20 years before the pandemic of 2020. Now five years later, we are reestablishing it as part of the essential culture of Patrick Henry HS. Nearly 200 guests will attend for dinner and entertainment by roughly 50 students. Guests are welcome to dress in their own interpretation of renaissance-era European royal costumes.

Our Hanover County NAACP is putting on another HUGE celebration of Juneteenth on Sat Jun 22 from Noon to 5pm at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.

SING IN THE COMMUNITY CHOIR FOR THE EVENT!!!

The organizers invite **ALL** to join in the singing! The choir is under the direction of Tyler Spurlock. Rehearsals are in the Haun Rehearsal Hall in Randolph-Macon's Center for the Performing Arts. Dates and times below.

Amazing opportunity!

VCUarts and VCUmusic presents the Choral Department's Spring Concert on Wednesday, April 10th, at 7pm in the W. E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, at the Monroe Park Campus of VCU. The themes for this concert are “Anchors of the Soul: A Celebration of Black Composers’, and ‘Soul Searching’. The first theme reflects a journey of resilience and beauty, using the anchor as a symbol of stability and faith. The concert portrays music as a beacon of hope and a steadfast anchor amidst life's storms, delivering the audience an evening of music that transcends boundaries, uplifts the spirit, and honors an enduring legacy.

Please come and experience an exciting, engaging, high-energy performance of diverse music representing several genres and styles! This concert will feature VCU’s Commonwealth Singers, Vox Concordia, Black Awakening Gospel Choir, and the Grammy nominated Neave Trio. For tickets and information, please visit:

On Wed Mar 6 and Thu Mar 7 @ 4PM at Liberty Middle School the Patrick Henry High School Competitive show choir “Sounds” is holding auditions for rising 9th-12th graders for next season’s team. The show choir competes across Virginia each year where students are introduced to new friends from other schools, food, dancing, singing, and total silliness.

REMINDER: Auditions are open to ALL rising 9th-12th graders for the Patrick Henry Sounds Competitive Show Choir team. Show choir is about dancing with athleticism and singing with attitude, so come prepared to show us what you could add to the team!

When: Wednesday March 6th @ 4PM (Dance Auditions)
WHEN: Thursday, March 7th @ 4PM (Singing Auditions)
Where: LMS Choir Room
What to expect: On Wednesday, a short dance taught and performed to audition dance ability. On Thursday, come prepared to sing a minute of your favorite song to audition your voice. All singing/dancing levels beginner - seasoned welcome!
