More than a year ago, in late September 2024, my Star Wars fan film ‘The Path of the Greys’ (2018) won Best Short Film after being screened at the Cosmic Holler Film Fest in Kentucky, USA! The festival sent me this incredible trophy: a wooden plaque, hand-made and wood-burned by Foxfire and Ditchwater, featuring two Star Trek characters as rats!

Most festivals only send a digital laurel or certificate when you’ve won an award, so receiving a physical trophy all the way from Kentucky to the Netherlands is truly special. On top of that, it’s a unique piece of art — and my film’s title is even on it!

Huge thanks to the organizers of the Cosmic Holler Film Fest and to artist Ricky Reeves for this amazing gesture and for celebrating filmmakers in such an artistic, tangible way!

This is the final award the Greys have had the pleasure of receiving after an amazing film festival journey. My congratulations to the cast and crew on this achievement!

This cherry burst Indiana came in over the weekend. It belongs to a young beginning player and she just wanted it restrung. When I saw the saddle I definitely didn't want to send it back out of my shop like that. Last week, some "extra" parts were donated to my stockpile and by the best of chances included a saddle that would do the job. So, fitted with a free, clean Guyker compensated, this little guitar is setup and ready for a lifetime of love.
