The eastern redbud tree is one of my favorite trees! In springtime it blooms bright magenta flowers all over its branches. The blooms are small and dense, with stiffer petals (they arenā€™t flowy like cherry blossoms). The branches are smooth and a deep cool grey color, and they grow out with very distinct ā€œelbowsā€. There is so much contrast between the two and is just so natrually beautiful! After 3 months of cold and brown, because thatā€™s what you get in Virginia, this always tree brings joy to me in the springtime :)

Flashback to the ultimate man cave! My client here is probably the biggest bulldogs fan in Virginia. His entire basement was painted red (with the Georgia Bulldogs accessories to match!) and wanted a space that was ā€œhisā€. The room was long and narrow and the painted field gave the illusion of more width in the room.

You know those projects that you donā€™t *have* to do but they would be *nice* to do? Thatā€™s how I felt about my bedroom. Painting a room used to be my go-to for a makeover. I mean, it still is, but did I want to paint this entire room AGAIN?Haaaaaayyllll no āœ‹. I just did this a couple years ago AND removed old wallpaper and the trauma has not yet worn off. Please let me save myself from cutting in around baseboards and trim!

Do I want to buy gallons of paint? No. Do I want to spend hours painting just to have another big wide wall, but in another color? Also, no. Letā€™s be more creative than that!

One sample pot + one brush = what feels like a much needed bedroom revamp šŸ¤©. I canā€™t wait to show you the rest!
