The Mike Dillon Band

The Mike Dillon Band Milt Jackson and Frank Zappa stumble into a Trouble Funk show that The Dead Kennedys opened. Mike Dillon plays vibraphone and rants into the microphone.

Combining styles and years of experience, MDB makes a noise that is unique in many ways. Dean Wean said, " The Mike Dillon Band is my favorite touring band on the planet' at the ween after show where all of Ween sans Gene, joined the stage with Mike.

I’m stoked on this year’s Jazzfest Marathon!! I’ve been training getting my runs and swims in. I’m taking my supplements and practicing every day. Nolatet has a new record out that I’m very proud of. is a true American hero. He touched the hand of Philly Joe back in the Day and Art Blakey held Laura V when she was a baby. Chet Baker asked him if he had something to relax with. We ain’t got that smack anymore , But we do have something else to relax with that won’t make you sell your s**t to cash America for cheap discounted prices. All organic baby!! Percussion consortium on the 26th with a lot of bad ass mofos at Gasa and maple leaf Punka with Jason Ricci!!! Joe Marcinek gonna roll thru too. Alright.. in the words of Brad Houser,”Hydrate or Die”

Had a killing first gig of tour with and .kirk.lambertson . Loving having my longtime bassist and synth wizard back on the road. Nathan has played on most of my records going back to “Life is not a football”. Nathan went to high school at NOCCA and played in high school bands with Troy Andrews , Jon Batiste and Sullivan Fortner. Mr. Batiste called him “Big Bass Nate” because he played the upright. Nathan spends most of the time in the van making us laugh or explaining Quantum Field Theory . He is another one of my friends that grew up thinking everyone had perfect pitch until one day at NOCCA, his teacher said to him ,” You have perfect pitch “. By 13 he was listening to Mingus and figuring out songs like “Jerry was a Car Driver“. Feb 25- The Pour House Raleigh , NC
Feb 26-Doc Taylor’s-Virginia Beach,Va
