I had to pop up recently to see my IBD team. ❤️‍🩹

🛬 And, you can fly Asheville to Boston via Allegiant or Greenville to Hartford on Breeze. Awesome, quick flights at great prices. ✈️

🍣 I just found my favorite Naruto Roll in Asheville, NC. 🍱

You know Tom and I love sushi, and we try to share the love across WNC & Asheville’s best sushi restaurants: Zen, Murasaki, Soba (Weaverville), Umi (Hendersonville), and Yum Poke.

We dipped over to The Madness - Sushi, Burger & Bar this weekend and had to make tough choices between burgers 🍔 and sushi 🥢 or BOTH.

The sushi 🍣 was spectacular: Naruto Roll, Salmon Lemon Roll, & 2 salmon avocados.

Tom had an equally delicious Old Fashioned (with the proper ice cube 😱). 🥃

🥂I’ve known Tom’s family since Kindergarten, but here are 16 photos for 16 years of Christine & Tom (dating). 💕

Much to Tom’s dismay, we aren’t quite celebrating like that couple behind us. 😂😘

We had a beautiful year of family visits, Asheville and North Carolina adventures (Banner Elk, Winston-Salem, Boone, Blowing Rock, the Tryon Foothills, & Holly Springs - to name a few), and Czechia. 🇨🇿

Health-wise, it’s been a bust - so we are still working on that. 😣

☕️ Asheville, NC, has no shortage of great coffee, lattes, matcha, and baked goods, but which cafes are actually worth your time, extra spending cash, and the wait? There’s a lot! ✨

As a local who runs Uncorked Asheville, I've tested SO MANY (across 7 years+), so you don't have to. From the River Arts District to East Asheville, here are my favorite coffee shops in Asheville right now. 💙

☕ COFFEE SHOPS FEATURED:

• Summit Coffee (RAD) - Strong coffee, stunning space in the former Bottle Riot at Wedge Studios, and walkable to the RAD Riverwalk. Transforms into Joyful Noise listening lounge at night.

• ButterPunk AVL - The flakiest biscuit sandwiches with the coolest decor in the River Arts District. Go for the biscuits; stay for the iced lattes. Shop for art afterward.

• Wheelhouse - A South Slope hidden gem with coffee, cocktails, and live music on weekends. Order the Cosmic Cowboy.

• OWL Bakery (North Asheville) - European-style pastries, fresh-baked bread, and excellent local coffee near The Omni Grove Park Inn (we like to walk these neighborhoods).

• PennyCup Silverline - Small-batch roasted beans, bubble tea, French Broad River views, and a literal pirate ship park across the street. Get the vegan fruit scone.

• Filo Pastries (East Asheville) - Asheville's best latte selection on Tunnel Road, with their own parking lot and a pastry case that will take care of you. Get anything cherry latte…

• Old Haywood Filling Station (Mills River) - Technically not in Asheville, but too good to leave out. A converted 1958 gas station with wine, coffee, and rotating food trucks near the airport and outlets.
