Has anyone worked in Denver / Front Range with these Sky Pencil Holly (Ilex crenata 'Sky Pencil')? Photo was taken yesterday in Denver (not our project)

After our unusually mild winter, we’re seeing some surprising growth patterns across the Front Range. Butterfly Bushes and large shrub roses are already leafing out at 5' or higher—well above their typical early-season start.

If we can avoid any "heavy, wet spring snow" breakage, we are looking at a massive growth year for several species. Aside from roses, expect to see significantly less die-back and larger displays from:

Desert Willow

Sumac

Mock Orange

Artemisia

What are you noticing in your garden or on your project sites this week?

👋 Network, we need your help! We are still looking for the right person to fill our open Residential Project Manager position.

This is a new role for our team, which means there is a massive opportunity for advancement and the chance to truly make the position your own. We are looking for a self-starter who is ready to take the reins and drive this forward.
