Congrats to all three secondary choirs for participating in MSVMA D16 Choral Festival this year! 🥳 Both Chorale and AMS Choir received a Division 1 (Excellent) rating for the third year in a row! Great job Armada! 🧡🐯 Special thank you to our pianist Paige Waverly for accompanying us both days.

Last week, Tri-M hosted their annual “Armada’s Got Talent” talent show! All but one of our winners are members of Armada choirs. It was a tough decision, but our staff judges chose a MS winner, HS winner, and a bonus duo. Many of our Tri-M volunteers are also choir members, including the hilarious talent show hosts! One of our favorite traditions is to spread holiday cheer to the community by performing a festive set of vocal music.

Wednesday morning, Chorale visited the Armada Senior Center for a short concert. Today, they sang outside of Krause Elememtary to students as they entered the building. Thank you to all who stopped to listen!

Attention high school band, choir, and orchestra students‼️

We are excited to share that we have finalized the remaining two itinerary elements for our upcoming trip to New York City this March!

On Saturday, March 28 at 8pm, we will head to the Gershwin Theatre to watch the Broadway production of the musical Wicked.

On Sunday, March 29 at 3pm, we will go to the Walter Kerr Theatre to watch the Broadway production of the musical Hadestown.

We are getting excited for this trip! There are still a small number of student spots available if anyone is interested in joining the trip. Reach out to Mrs. Surzyn or Mr. Bobek if you would like more information.

Happy Fall! Armada Area Schools is proud to present FIVE choirs this school year…

HS: Chorale, Concert Choir, and Show Choir Club (grades 9-12)
MS: Choir (grades 6-7)
EL: Tiger Cub Choir (grades 4-5)

Show Choir Club is a new addition to our roster! This after school club is open to anyone. You do not have to be in a choir class to be involved. Show Choir is equal parts singing and dancing. We meet every Friday (excluding half days) for one hour.

All choirs are under the direction of Mrs. Surzyn.

We’re back! Happy Armada Fair Week 🌞
Visiting the fair? Consider supporting the Armada Music Boosters by parking at our academy. (Search Macomb Academy Arts and Sciences on your GPS) Parking is only $5 and every penny supports the middle/high school band, choir, and orchestra students. The fair runs today through Sunday. We hope to see you there!
