Should I make more asymmetrical pieces like this?
My style has definitely leaned more toward symmetry. I’ve always loved the balance and order of symmetrical geometric art and over the years, I’ve trained my mind to put those pieces together pretty quickly.
But I am absolutely loving this more asymmetrical style of art.
One of my lovely followers commented on my last piece and said it looked like a “Birch + Bloom Picasso.” That lit something in me.
Even though there’s a lot of chaos happening in these pieces, there’s somehow more balance than I expected. Ordered chaos, perhaps?
There’s something so beautiful about letting things flow freely. Not really having a plan, but allowing the art to take shape and become what it wants to be.
Either way, I had SO much fun making these.
So… should I keep exploring this direction?
