This weekend we have DJ Duende for Sunday morning Dance:
“Hey dancers and movers! I'm excited to DJ for y'all this week 😁

The inspiration for this set is the feeling of running home after the bell rings on the last day of school, knowing that you have a whole Summer of freedom ahead of you 🙌

My inner kid's excited to run around the room with your inner kids! 🤸🤸 Remember feeling like you could run forever?! Me neither! But I get tastes of it at ecstatic dance 😂❤️

Come get your yah-yahs out and celebrate the upcoming solstice, your great or terrible grades, your survival, your latest breakup (with school? AI? social media? an old part of yourself? that jerk?)...

Sunday Morning Dance in Arcata at D st neighborhood center!
Music goes from 11AM to 12:30ish. This week we have DJ Reflectic!

DJ Refelctic was born in humboldt county. Coming from a live music background playing bass and percussion with latin and rock bands. Reflectic designs sonorous worlds of wonder mixing a variety of ethnic music with modern electronic grooves. Fascinated by poly rhythmic structures, bass sound design and the trance that beautiful beats elicit. He moves through the ethereal palaces of floating energy to the heavy down driven rhythms of the earth. A celebration of the diversity that is reflected in the experiences of the world’s cultures.

Sunday Morning Ecstatic Dance in Arcata from 11am-1pm at D st Neighborhood center. Sunsiah will be our DJ this week!

“I will be offering a deep, bassy, dubby, organic and medicinal consortium of sonic medicine. Sweet angels will be attendance anchoring the heavenly hues. Expect to hear the ancient vibrations of the didgeridoo, blown throughout the frequency field. Curious still, will be the sweet sounds of the flute, the love of the voice, and the deep warbles of throat singing. Heart strings will be strummed! Djembes will be drummed! Wubs will be wubbed! This experience will be quite calefacient. “

Datura Prime is a local sound healer, yogi and intuitive healer, in addition to a DJ. While she has primarily been a staple of the Humboldt Goth scene for several years now, she is also a multidimensional and genre fluid DJ that thrives on dancing in the shadows as well as the light. This set will be a fun, funky and spiritual experience, with heavy tribal and multicultural sounds.
