Their dad Arthur insisted on a photo before the match began, so Oliver and Elsie dutifully stood still and smiled.

Looking at the picture later, most people remark on what a dainty little thing Elsie looks like in her pretty blue dress and flowered hat.

But Oliver knows better than to underestimate his sister. They've been discussing this match all week, and both of them are absolutely determined to win.

As for who actually won...well, that depends on which one of them you ask.

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my little corner of the Westside Art Hop this weekend. ❤️

Even though Sunday’s weather literally washed things out, it was still a great show filled with kind conversations, familiar faces, and lots of people who made me smile.

I’m so grateful to everyone who took home a print, a card, or an original painting, and to everyone who simply stopped to say hello and spend a few minutes with the art.

And now... it’s back to Project: Paint As Fast As You Can. 🎨

Freddie, Beatrice, Oliver, & Elsie are hopping in to make their print debut today at the Westside Art Hop. An appropriate first show for them, I think. 🐸

Update from Project Paint as Fast as You Can: Some of you may remember Arthur and Beatrice from last month's picnic. 💚

Well, I'd like you to meet their children Oliver and Elsie, who are off for an afternoon game of croquet, and Freddie, who's enjoying a quiet day of fishing. Beatrice, meanwhile, has apparently returned from her picnic and is hard at work in her tomato garden.

I'm still varnishing them and making their frames, so the original paintings won't be making it to Art Hop this weekend, but I'll have prints available if you'd like to meet the newest members of the family.
