An annual event celebrating active-duty service members and veteran paratroopers at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, has been canceled after Pentagon officials confirmed that troops from the base are being deployed to the Middle East.
“All American Week,” held each year at Fort Bragg—the home of the 82nd Airborne Division—was scheduled to take place from May 18 to 21. However, Army officials have now confirmed that this year’s event will not go ahead.
According to Maj. Joe Bush, a spokesperson for the 82nd Airborne Division, the event was canceled due to “competing requirements.” He added that All American Week is expected to return in 2027.

Since the war with Iran began on February 28, the U.S. military has regularly shared statistics—how many targets have been hit, how many Iranian ships destroyed, and how many combat missions have been carried out.
However, no one in the U.S. government seems able to explain how the conflict will end or what the long-term plan is.
This situation is not new. In 2001, U.S. forces quickly defeated the Taliban, but the mission didn’t end there. Instead, troops remained in Afghanistan for two decades, attempting—unsuccessfully—to build a stable democracy, despite senior officials recognizing the challenges early on. Similarly, the 2003 invasion of Iraq toppled Saddam Hussein’s regime within weeks, yet the conflict continued. U.S. forces spent years fighting insurgencies, later returning to combat ISIS. Even now, more than two decades after declaring the mission accomplished, American troops are still present in Iraq.

As the service’s highest-ranking uniformed officer, George’s departure was reportedly requested by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, a move first reported by CBS News.
“We can confirm the CBS report is accurate,” a Defense Department official said, adding that no further details are available at this time. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell also released a statement Thursday confirming George’s retirement.

🚫 Claim: Iran’s IRGC says it attacked U.S. pilots’ residences in Saudi Arabia, affecting 200 people.
âś… Fact: This claim is false. No U.S. personnel were attacked. The IRGC previously made similar false claims about Dubai on March 28. These statements are attempts to distract from their losses, as U.S. forces continue striking effectively.
