Something wicked (and wonderfully intricate) this way comes... 🕷️✨
Spooky season is just around the corner, and I couldn't resist dressing up the studio vibe a bit. This black widow mandala phone case blends a touch of dark elegance with that familiar, hypnotic geometry we love.
Whether you're stepping into autumn with a new aesthetic or looking for the ultimate subtle nod to Halloween, your tech deserves a little magic too. 🕸️🖤

New horizons are calling! ✈️🥨
As a military family,🇺🇸our journey is taking us from the rugged beauty of Alaska 🏔to Germany🇩🇪 this May! While my physical studio will soon be in shipping crates, AK Zendala LLC is officially going international.
What this means for you:
Originals: Now is the final chance to snag current physical pieces before they head overseas.
Digital & POD: My online shops (RedBubble, FAA) will stay fully active!
The Journey: Stay tuned as I trade mountains for castles and find new inspiration in European patterns.
Thank you for being part of this adventure!"

Still smiling after an incredible night at the Safari Club International Banquet! 🏹🏔️
It was an honor to sponsor a table for the second year and connect with so many people who share a passion for wildlife conservation. Seeing the handmade fly kits and AK Zendala stickers find new homes was the highlight of my evening.
Art and conservation both require a delicate balance—thank you for supporting mine!

They say the house never sleeps... and apparently, neither do I. ☕️🃏
I spent the entire night lost in the geometry of this casino zendala. There’s a specific kind of magic that happens between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM where the poker chips and roulette numbers just start to... flow.
The best part? That "artistic hangover" moment this morning when I walked back into the studio to see if what I painted at 4:00 AM actually looked good. Verdict: The gamble paid off! 🎰✨

Starting the New Year with a roll of the dice... and a whole lot of artistic intention! 😉🎲
This casino-themed mandala is taking shape beautifully. Each poker chip, every card suit, and those intricate roulette numbers are being carefully placed. It’s a "Cheers!" to good fortune, creativity, and turning daring ideas into art.
More to come as the layers unfold! What kind of luck are you hoping for this year?

A Little life update & a big thank you for your patience. 🙏
You might have noticed things have been a bit quiet on my page lately, and I wanted to share why. I recently underwent a sudden hand surgery and have been in recovery, which meant taking a much-needed break from creating. As you can imagine, not being able to paint and create was incredibly challenging, both physically and creatively.
I'm happy to report that I'm now on the mend and slowly but surely getting my hands back into art! The journey has reminded me how much I cherish the act of making and sharing my work with you all.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your understanding and continued support. I'm so eager to start creating again and share new pieces with you very soon!
Stay tuned! 💖

Every stroke tells a story! 🎨 This coffee table, repurposed from a yard sale, became my canvas for a multi-month Zendala art project. You can see how it started with a solid base (image 1), then the extensive initial drawing (image 2), and finally, the vibrant colors that brought the Zendala to life (image 3). It was a true labor of love and patience. So happy to showcase this unique piece! The completed table is a stunning statement piece for any home!

This painting is starting to look more mocha than espresso lol!
What is your favorite coffee order?

03/20/2025

The smell of fresh coffee when I come down stairs every morning is my A hot cup of coffee is often in hand while I stare at a painting or nearby while I paint and mistake it for paint water to clean a brush.
..It's happened more than once.

So I am thinking I'll just use coffee to create a new piece. Simple idea right?

For an artist like me who loves very clean, precise lines, the chaos of dumping my coffee on a canvas gave me a bit of anxiety this morning. But I'm happy with the results so far.

Painting starts tomorrow!

Is anyone else starting to feel that early spring productivity? Desipite the snow this morning.
Its been a very productive week for with two new designs on paper. Painting for these two will begin next week.

02/26/2025

This piece was a joy to create during this years winter months. With the lack of snow this year the landscape was awfully drab, icy, and prevented a lot of outside snow activities. The vibrant colors that came to life in this painting were a happy contrast to that. Painting this piece was almost like taking vitamin D each day.
