The Anchorage Film Festival kicks off on Friday Dec 5th and Anchorage will be buzzing as directors, producers, actors, documentary subjects, writers, cinematographers, and editors fill the city in a winter convergence of stories and voices, marking the twenty–fifth year of the Anchorage International Film Festival. This year the festival celebrates twenty-five years of independent cinema in a city where adventure meets artistry and filmgoing becomes a shared community experience. Recently named one of the 100 Best Reviewed Film Festivals in the World, AIFF has grown into a winter cultural event for Anchorage, with filmmakers flying in from around the world to screen their work and connect with audiences. Today, we remember September 11, 2001. On this day of reflection, we honor the lives lost and the bravery shown, while also recognizing the strength that comes from unity. Anchorage is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and together we stand for compassion, community, and peace.

The We Are Anchorage Multicultural Festival planning committee want to express our sincere gratitude for the communities interest and support .

It is with great sorrow that we are unable to move forward with the festival this July. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to secure the financial support needed to make the event possible.

We remain committed to celebrating and uplifting the rich diversity of Anchorage, and we hope to bring the We Are Anchorage Multicultural Festival back in 2026. Your continued support means the world to us, and we hope you will stay engaged with other events throughout the Anchorage community in the meantime.
