Honestly, I've been half-assing this thing so far, and I made it to the top 10, but now I'm gonna start taking it seriously.

Hoy nos despedimos de un valiente guerrero que completó su viaje terrenal ayer a la madrugada, en su hogar en Pergamino, Argentina, en compañía de muchos seres queridos, a los 90 años.

Aún en sus últimos momentos, Tino Teves siempre fue un gran ejemplo de lo que debe ser un hombre: fiel, chistoso, firme, inteligente, respetuoso del albedrío ajeno, y con tantos dichos únicos que podría ser un diccionario andando de modismos.

Según las tradiciones de varias tribus indígenas, cuando nos deja un poderoso guerrero, se canta y se baila para festejar su partida exitosa, y su desempeño en las batallas, así como para bendecir su recorrido por el camino al mas allá, incluyendo una súplica expresa de que llegue uno más valiente para tomar su lugar y seguir liderando la comunidad.

Pero en este caso, dudo de que alguien podrá hacerlo. Cuando un hombre como Tino deja este mundo, todos lloran un poco, algunos por alegría de que un angel regrese a casa, otros por tristeza por quedarse sin un ser amado. Y otros lamentan su partida presintiendo que los hombres como él eran un modelo limitado, y ya cerró esa fábrica – ya no los hacen más.

Lo único que sé es que te extrañamos y te extrañaremos horrores, querido abuelo y suegro. Te mandamos este plato de facturas taiwanesas que tanto te encantaron cuando viniste a visitarnos aquí en California, para que te acompañen en tu viaje al más allá.

I'd like to welcome Vigo the vihuela to the Ben Wylder family. Saved him from a second hand store that clearly didn't recognize this gem – only paid $110!! Can't wait to take this guy out to jam. Maybe even borrow some mariachi vibes for a song or two. =]
