The choral program in the University of Massachusetts Amherst Department of Music & Dance is designed to provide students, regardless of one’s major field of study, with enjoyable and rewarding ensemble singing experiences. While some ensembles require more choral experience than others, all students from the Five Colleges who love to sing are encouraged to audition for one of our choirs. The prog

ram consists of four ensembles directed by wonderful professors and graduate student conductors:

Chamber Choir - Dr. Tony Thornton (Director of Choral Studies)

University Chorale - Dr. Stephen A. Paparo (Music Education/Choral Specialist)

Women's Choir - (graduate conductor) - course not running in 20-21. Conductors’ Chorus - (Dr. Tony Thornton; graduate and undergraduate conductors)
