Throwback Thursday. The beginning of my love for plates started with these plates after a car accident back injury. I couldn’t throw on the wheel but still wanted to make and create. So, I started making slab plates and fell in love with slabs. It wasn’t an instant success- clay can be rather cantankerous and uncooperative and often needs to be coaxed and smoothed over.
