ISU chapter of Hindu Youth for Unity Virtues and Action We encourage maintaining Hindu cultural identity in harmony with the larger community.

One-sixth of humanity follows, in one or more ways, what is broadly termed the Hindu way of life (encompasses religion, culture and heritage). Hindu YUVA is about giving an immersive and experiential exposure of Hindu way of life to the campus community while having a lot of fun in a friendly and positive atmosphere. The objective of Hindu Yuva is to create opportunities for college communities, b

oth students and faculty members, to understand and practice Hindu Dharma, the ancient way of life. The activity would include conducting regular programs with focus on all the aspects of personality development (physical, mental and spiritual). We aim to develop strong character and leadership skills in our members, emphasizing values such as self-discipline, self-confidence and a spirit of selfless service for the society. In addition doing service activities in and around campus to benefit the local community will also be focused. The events will be held to raise the awareness of the community about present several issues faced by the Hindus around the world.

We will be having Lakshmi Poojan at Vivekananda House on Saturday, 2nd November at 11AM! On this especially auspicious occasion (first Diwali since the Ram Mandir inauguration) Pooja will be followed by potluck Prasadam. If anyone wants to make and bring Prasadam, please feel free to do so🌼

Day 9: Siddhidhatri - “Goddess of Supernatural Powers or Siddhis”

Siddhidhatri (सिद्धिदात्री) - Siddhi means supernatural power or meditative ability, and Dhatri means giver. In this form, Durga is seated on a lotus and is four-armed. She holds a lotus, mace, Chakra, and Shankha. Siddhidhatri removes ignorance and provides knowledge.

सिद्धगन्धर्वयक्षाद्यैरसुरैरमरैरपि।
सेव्यमाना सदा भूयात् सिद्धिदा सिद्धिदायिनी।।

siddhagandharvayakṣādyairasurairamarairapil

sevyamānā sadā bhūyāt siddhidā siddhidāyinīll

Worshipped by Siddhas (perfected beings), Gandharvas (celestial musicians),

Yakshas (nature spirits), Asuras (demons), and even Devas (celestial beings).

May Siddhidatri, the bestower of accomplishments, always be worshipped.

सिद्धों, गंधर्वों, यक्षों, असुरों और यहां तक कि देवताओं द्वारा भी पूजित, सिद्धियों की दाता देवी सिद्धिदात्री की सदैव पूजा होती रहें।
